Devotional
Have you ever felt like you’ve wandered too far from home? Like you’ve made choices that have taken you down paths you never intended to travel? In the story of the prodigal son, we see a father who never stops watching for his child’s return. Even when his son was at his lowest point, having squandered everything and living among pigs, the father’s love remained unchanged. This is a powerful picture of God’s love for us – constant, unwavering, and always watching for our return.
Bible Verse
‘But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and felt compassion and ran and embraced him and kissed him.’ – Luke 15:20
Reflection Question
When was the last time you felt distant from God, and what kept you from running back to Him?
Quote
Dad’s sitting on his porch every day looking, where’s my boy?
Prayer
Loving Father, thank You for Your constant watch over my life. Help me to remember that no matter how far I may wander, Your eyes are always on me, waiting with compassion for my return. Give me the courage to run back to You when I’ve strayed. Amen.
